Slime care
How to look after GOOEYY.
Slime is a living texture — it reacts to your hands, the air and the weather. Look after it properly and it stays good for a long time.
Beginner tips
Three things to do every time — before the lid even comes off.

Wash your hands. Clean, dry hands first. Lotion, dust or leftover food makes slime cling and leave a film.

Mix activator first. Make the cup before you open the jar, so you’re never waiting around with slime on your hands.

Lid on tight. When you’re done, every bit goes back in the jar and the lid clicks shut. That’s how it stays stretchy.
In every box
Activator.
One teaspoon of borax comes with your order. That makes a cup of activator.
- 1 tsp borax
- 1 cup warm water
- ½ tsp at a time
For slime only. Wash hands after. An adult should mix it.
011 tsp + 1 cup. One level teaspoon of borax into exactly one cup of warm water.
02Stir until clear. Mix until the powder is gone. That’s your activator.
03Add a little. ½ tsp at a time, or a light dip. Fold, wait, then add more only if needed.

While Playing
Keep it moving. Stretch, fold, poke, swirl — slime likes warm hands and a little rhythm. If it starts clinging, don’t panic and don’t drown it. A tiny dip of activator, then fold it back in. Play on a clean tray or mat so glitter, cream and pearls stay in the slime, not on the sofa.
02TemperatureWarm hands make slime softer and stretchier. Cold rooms make it stiffer. That’s normal — hold it for a minute and it loosens up. Keep jars off radiators, out of cars in the sun, and away from heaters. Heat can melt the texture. If it’s been somewhere chilly, play with it before you reach for activator.
03If It Gets StickySticky usually means it needs a whisper of activator, or your hands weren’t clean. Wash, dry, then dip a fingertip of activator — half a teaspoon or less — and fold. Wait ten seconds. Repeat only if it’s still grabbing. Too much activator makes it rubbery and sad. If it melted from heat, let it cool first.
